From the 1936 Collins Family Tree
Archibald Collins and Eleanor Wallace were born in York County, Pennsylvania, and migrated to Xenia, Ohio, in 1820 where they founded their home and lived the ballance of their lives.

"Archibald Collins was one of my wise, clear headed, gentle, safe going elders. His wife, Mother Collins, was a woman of rare sagacity and of great practical common sense and of large and forceful personality. He was an intelligent factor and positive quality in the family and in the church. The husband and wife were always on the side of rugged honesty, Christian morality, and a pure gospel." - Reverend R.B. Ewing, D.D.

"Their presence was like a benediction wherever they went. In their home loyalty to truth and right was ever taught, and their children went out into the world well equiped for life's battles." - "Amicus"

Their home was one of the "stations" of the "Underground Railroad" for fugitive slaves.
