1827 October 9 - John Barr Clark was born near Cadiz, Harrison County, Ohio.
1843 - John Barr Clark began attending Franklin College at New Athens, Ohio.
1848 September 15 - John Barr Clark graduated from Franklin College.
1848 November 14 - John Barr Clark began attending Associate Theological Seminary.
1851 March - John Barr Clark completed his study at Associate Theological Seminary.
1851 - John Barr Clark was liscensed to preach by the Presbytery of Muskingum.
1853 May 12 - Rev. John Barr Clark became the pastor of the Chartiers United Presbyterian Congrgation in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania.
1853 June 4 - John Barr Clark married Lydia Collins.
1860 Rev. John Barr Clark resigned his position at Chartiers to become pastor of the Second United Presbyterian congregation in Allegheny. -
1862 - John Barr Clark was appointed colonel of the One Hundred and Twenty-third and One Hundred and Ninety-third Pennsylvania Regiments
1864 - Rev. John Barr Clark returned as pastor of the Second United Presbyterian congregation in Allegheny.

Discrepancy; The Collins Family Tree gives January 13, 1892 as John Barr Clark's date of death while the Washington County history gives Janary 13, 1872. 1892 gives an age of death of of 64 while 1872 gives an age of death of 44. The Collins Family Tree was compiled in 1936, much closer to the time of the events, so this page will stay with the 1892 date until further documentary evidence is presented.
